Beyond Raw Re-Test Review: GNC Formula for Muscle-Building Testosterone

Quick Take: This review talks about GNC’s testosterone product for athletes seeking muscle pumps & mass: Beyond Raw Re-Test. The formula seems like a great idea, but the execution is a little weak — they don’t use the best test boosters, and some of the circulation compounds are dosed way low. Still, Beyond Raw Re-Test features a couple of premium, top-shelf ingredients that are powerful and effective — which makes me think GNC has good intentions with this new type of test stack.

  • Re-Test is part of GNC’s Beyond RAW line of powerful performance supplements
  • Testosterone supplement designed as a “hardcore anabolic enhancer”
  • Extra support for muscle circulation and pumps
  • Quality standardized fenugreek and tribulus extracts
  • Take caution with its potential banned substances DHEA and antler porn powder
  • Herbals for enhancing sex drive, sex performance, and gym performance

Beyond Raw Re Testo Boost

Vitamin D3 – sure, it is a great testosterone booster that works, and they give it to us in the preferred D3 form, but 1000 IU is a pretty paltry dosage if you’re talking about a hardcore bodybuilding supplement

tribulus terrestris – it is not the greatest testosterone booster, but this herb is pretty legendary for physical performance, including performance related to sexual activity. The 40% saponins here are a sign of quality – those of the active ingredients you want.

Fenugreek – fenugreek definitely plays well with Tribulus. I would say it is a better testosterone booster, with a similar manliness enhancing profile for physical performance and libido.

DHEA – it’s testosterone boosting ability is not that strongly validated by science, but I will included in the T booster section anyway. Be careful with this ingredient if you are an athlete who is subject to drug tests.

DIM & IC3 – these two ingredients found in broccoli are fairly popular in testosterone supplements. I am not the biggest fan of them, because I also see them used in a lot of products for women’s menopause, which seems off-based to me. The idea is, they function as anti-estrogen compounds, which in theory could help with testosterone.

Testofen® in the house! Beyond Raw Re-Test brings you fenugreek in a patented and branded form called Testofen®. It looks like a high quality form of fenugreek, but it has some controversy too: In 2014, the company that makes Testofen faced a complaint questioning the legitimacy of its “clinically proven to boost testosterone” claims. The claim was thrown out pretty quickly, and Testofen remains popular in many testosterone supplements.

Antler horn powder – I wonder why they don’t say what kind of antler horn it is? I am assuming it is deer antler, which may have some anabolic and muscle recovery benefits, but I wouldn’t quite call it a T booster. This is another one to be careful with because it is not legal in all athletics.

Ursolic acid – I have to admit, I am totally confused by this one. Taken from holy basil, it seems more popular in fat burner supplements – I have not seen it in a testosterone supplement before – but here it is in retests hard-core test amplifier.

Vasodilator matrix – in this blend within a blend, beyond raw retest supplies sports nutrition pre-workout nutrients agmatine sulfate and L citrulline, along with resveratrol and reishi mushroom. I am not too impressed with this blend because the dosages look really low to me – but it probably does deliver some muscle pumping benefits and circulation enhancement.

As a dietary supplement, take three capsules in the morning and two in the afternoon. Do not exceed five capsules daily.

Beyond Raw Re-Test is one of those testosterone supplements that is designed for a specific niche: bodybuilders. As a result, if you ask me, it isn’t the best design supplement for testosterone.

It is not a balls out testosterone booster. Instead it is a multipurpose supplement where testosterone even seems to take a backseat to physical performance, pumps, and anabolic benefits.

If a test booster is designed to do many things, well, it isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

But formulas can also mess up by trying to do too much, including to many ingredients, which can drive down the potency of each one.

“That’s not a hardcore anabolic enhancer. THIS is a hardcore anabolic enhancer.”

At least they tell us what the ingredient dosages are, but damn, some of them look LOW… and definitely not the big, powerful dosages you’d expect from a supplement advertised as a “Hardcore Anabolic Enhancer.”

If you ask me, the Fenugreek and Tribulus are most likely to be effective because of their dosages. Overall, the hard-core test amplifier blend looks pretty good to me, in terms of ingredient choices, but again – the tongkat ali, which is an awesome sex booster, is way low, and not in any kind of enhanced potency form.

The vasodilator matrix I honestly think is a waste of time. The dosages you see here in Beyond Raw Re-Test look way low, maybe enough for a little boost in circulation. I don’t get it. It seems smarter to me to just buy a good T booster and stack it with a good nitric oxide supplement, and let each one function to the max instead of being watered down in one big blend.

Overall, in terms of testosterone, Beyond Raw Re-Test has a decent mix of pro-testosterone and anti-estrogen nutrients. This includes some controversial exotics, which definitely add a lot of sex appeal – and possibly a little risk.

But it seems to stop on testosterone before it really gets rolling, instead dividing the rest of the capsule space up among circulation and antioxidant compounds that don’t really look so great to me.

  • Good manly herbs – Tribulus and fenugreek at decent dosages in premium forms
  • Critical test nutrition – beyond raw retest gives you a nice foundation testosterone ingredient with its vitamin D3
  • Performance-oriented benefits – looks pretty good for working out, strength, recovery, endurance, and sex
  • Can be cheap – not always, but you can buy it at a really cheap price if you time it right, I have seen it as low as about 25 bucks on GNC dot com

  • Not the best workout blend – weak and ineffective looking vasodilator matrix
  • Risky ingredients – I am not a fan of DHEA or the antler horn powder in this test booster
  • Questionable formulation strategy – it tries to be a test booster and circulation enhancer, but fall short on both of those goals

Maybe? Looking at this formulation, I would say that testosterone and circulation enhancement benefits are likely minimal – but benefits for strength, athletic performance, recovery, and sex drive are a lot more obvious and reliable. In other words, it appears to be better for some of the manly benefits considered to be among the pros of taking Testosterone booster supplements – but for the actual benefit of increasing testosterone, Beyond Raw Re-Test is just OK.

Beyond Raw Re Test

I think GNC has good intentions with this hybrid testosterone plus pumps formula, but they waste too many ingredients on unproven or sketchy exotics to make this thing work as a whole. I bet if they trimmed the fat, added another awesome test booster like DAA, and increased citrulline dosage, this might be a formidable testosterone product for bodybuilders and athletes. Until then, the star ratings aren’t going to be that great, GNC!
